Llum de fideu
Luz de Fideu is a theater company born and located in Barcelona since 2019. Co-directed by Ana Claramonte and Marc Guillén, and with Marina Cardona in the production, it focuses its work on the exploration of new forms of expression in the public space. His work is based on the search for his own poetics, the combination of different languages and the elaboration of dramaturgies with multiple layers of meaning. The company falls in love with street art as much as with stage art, researching how to bring a retail, sensitive and fine line writing to the public space. This look is oriented toward elements that are often invisible, those aspects that, even if they are present, are hidden by the usual perspective.
His previous works reflect this philosophy:
Obsolescence (La Estación Escénika Festival, Barcelona, 2019): A piece for non-conventional spaces that, from the theater of the absurd, explored the meeting of two marginal characters imagining a non-apocalyptic future.
Eteris (FAT Festival, Barcelona, 2021): A hall show that addressed the relationship with air as an invisible and indispensable element, through a dramaturgy that integrated movement, speech and scenic plastic.
Sfumato (ensayando por la caída de los contornos) (Festival Mercè Street Arts, Barcelona, 2022): A street and site-specific proposal that reconsidered how we relate to other forms of life in the public space. With Sfumato, the company has grown remarkably, participating in renowned festivals in Catalonia, Spain and France, such as the Escena Poblenou Festival in Barcelona, the Sismógrafo de Olot, and the Chalon dans la Rue Festival, among others. This trajectory has been recognized with several awards:
Nueva Voz Award at the Catalan Critic Awards 2022.
“Compañía Revelación” Award at the 2023 Rue de Ramonville Festival.
Best Street Show in the 2024 Igualada Exhibition.
Best Show at the TAC International Festival of Valladolid 2024.
The new project of Luz de Fideo Tallem!, seeks to reflect on the passage of time, memory and its traces in the public space through the cinematographic language. In this proposal, they count on the collaboration of Verónica Navas, who provides support in the dramaturgy and the writing of the script for the short film. With a clear commitment to perspective, detail and focus, Llum de Fideu continues to expand the limits of the performing arts and its relationship with the public space.
Tallem!
Residence Januray and February 2025
Tallem!, is a scenic street performance that reflects on the transience of life and the desire to leave a mark. Inspired by universal concepts such as Tempus huit, Carpe diem and Memento mori, this piece explores the passage of time, memory – both individual and collective – and the stories that are hidden in the corners of the urban spaces we inhabit.
Conceived as a diptych, Tallem! combines live arts with cinematographic language. The first part, during the day, simulates a theatrical outdoor shooting, in which the public is an active part of the creation of scenes. These scenes are integrated into a pre-recorded short film, which is completed with the collaboration of the public in each representation. The second part, at night time, becomes an immersive experience inspired by outdoor cinema: the unique version of the short film recorded during the day is shown, complemented by live performance elements.
Tallem!, creates a deep dialogue between the ephemeral art of the performing arts and the capacity of cinema to immortalize moments and emotions. It is an invitation to contemplate the relationship between the time that passes, the memories we leave behind and our constant search for transcendence.
