Resident companies

One of the goals of El Canal is the promotion of creation and local stage production. For this reason, throughout the year the center welcomes companies and artists in residence so that they can make use of El Canal’s technical resources to develop their scenic projects. During their residency, the companies have at their disposal the space and equipment of El Canal and also receive artistic support from the center’s team that will allow them to grow their artistic projects.

The residencies at El Canal are carried out based on open calls and collaborations with other scenic groups in the city. With them, El Canal hosts different performing arts groups and these become part of the professional and artistic community of the center and the town of Salt. The residences and the center’s own activity allow the creation of synergies between the companies and collectives of the stage world of Salt, Girona and Catalonia.
