The Center for the Creation of Performing Arts El Canal has calls for annual artistic residencies. These calls are addressed to artists, companies and national and international collectives with implementation in the Girona territory and are open to all types of forms and disciplines, experimental processes and practices related to the performing arts.
Resident Companies Program
This program is aimed at local, national and international artists and collectives who present live arts projects in the production phase. It offers the resident companies the co-production for the development of the project, an artistic residency in the spaces of El Canal, as well as technical support.
Creation Space Program
El Canal offers short stays designed for specific uses: initial meetings, technical residencies or residencies to carry out adaptations of already premiered pieces, among others. This program is not endowed with financial participation, but it does offer logistical, space and technical support.
Research, development and innovation program
Program open to proposals in the field of research, development and scenic innovation. Projects that have to do with rethinking formats, scenic languages and new technologies applied to live arts from a practical perspective will be valued. The program has a financial endowment for a single winning project.
