In 2025, El Canal continues to forge partnerships and strengthen ties with other performing-arts creation spaces, both locally and abroad. Throughout the year, the centre has signed four new collaboration agreements with organisations that share a common approach to creation: La Grainerie – Pôle Européen de Production (Balma, France), Convent de les Arts d’Alcover, Centre d’Investigació Escènica C.IN.E. (Sineu, Mallorca) and Roca Umbert – Fàbrica de les Arts (Granollers).
These agreements make it possible to pool efforts, share resources and create new opportunities for artists and companies through reciprocal artistic residencies, co-productions, exchanges and joint projects that strengthen contemporary creation in all its forms.
With these new collaborations, El Canal now has eleven cooperation agreements with creation centres across the territory. Adding to the four signed this year are the seven established in 2024 with La Central del Circ, the Government of Andorra, L’Estruch (Sabadell), Fira Mediterrània, FiraTàrrega, Mercat de les Flors and Nau Ivanow.
For El Canal, these ties are much more than an institutional network: they are living spaces for collaboration, artist mobility and knowledge exchange—a fabric that enables us to support artistic processes, connect territories and grow the performing arts from proximity with an international, shared outlook.
