Ni.U
Residency july 2023
Ni.U is Núria Andorrà’s new proposal. The project is nourished by the popular music of popular songs, the ones we have heard at family celebrations, popular festivals, school. It is a series of songs that travel through a different imagination for each of the viewers associated with their living experience. The interpretation of the songs will also go through a revision in terms of genre.
The aim is to excite, through the songs, the dance and the video images that accompany the piece. In the show, everything has a very organic meaning, very defined in the territory, the mountain landscapes, the rivers, the hands of the craftsman. It is a very sonorous work: the sounds of the blackboard, shells, ceramics, glass balls or pineapples are part of the elements that the artist turns into percussion instruments and creates a soundscape accompanied by the violin.
