Montdedutor

Jorge Dutor and Guillem Mont de Palol are stage creators and performers who work on the boundaries of various disciplines such as dance, architecture, theatre, or opera, exploring their intersections with the political and the social. They stand for a clear ideological position: to be at the margins, and not at the centre, as a space of resistance and commitment.

Their stage practices cross languages and develop energetic and empathetic proposals, using humour, absurdity, repetition, and music to bring live arts closer to all kinds of audiences. They want the stage experience to go beyond the theatre—so that spectators leave doing the conga and repeating what they saw at home.

They have been working together since 2009 and have collaborated with numerous theatres, art centres and festivals across Europe and Latin America.

Danses Romàntiques

Residence September 2025

Inspired by scenes from major Romantic ballets: Giselle, Coppelia, La Sylphide, Raymonda and Scheherazade. A journey between collective ritual, escape room, and family constellation, where the audience is invited to summon the protagonists of these ballets in an attempt to exorcise the abuses to which these women have been constantly subjected.

Guillem will try, like a medium, to let himself be possessed by their spirits so that they can tell us their version of events in the first person
