Momi Maiga
Momi Maiga is a Senegalese musician, singer and composer living in Salt.

Kairo

Kairo is a captivating show created by Senegalese artist Momi Maiga, which combines the richness of West African musical tradition with modern influences from jazz, flamenco and classical music. The name “Kairo”, which means “peace” in Mandinka, reflects the intention of the show as a whole.
Through her virtuoso skill with the kora, a traditional West African 22-string instrument, Momi Maiga guides the audience on a sonic journey that celebrates diversity and unity. The show features original compositions that move between soft melodies and energetic rhythms, creating an immersive and exciting atmosphere.
Accompanied by violin, cello, drums, percussion and voices, Kairo is more than a concert; is a cultural experience that unites past and present, tradition and modernity, in a vibrant and inspiring musical dialogue between cultures.
