Last November, the second edition of the Dramaturgy Days took place, professional meetings that aim to share questions, ideas, visions or doubts among the participating playwrights, and now the report of the debates is available, which includes the ideas that the participating playwrights shared. It is an initiative promoted by the Center for the Creation of Performing Arts El Canal together with the Catalan Association of Dramaturgy. The aim of the conference is to analyze recent dramaturgy, rethink the dramaturgy of the present and imagine the dramaturgy of the future.

This second edition took place on Tuesday 14 and 28 November. Both days brought playwrights from Girona and from various parts of the country to meet in an atmosphere of trust and complicity in order to give space to issues of their profession and exchange points of view between the different playwrights. The two sessions were conducted and animated by the Girona playwright Jordi Casanovas and addressed two topics that concern professionals in the profession: the political theater of the future and the conditions of the playwright’s profession.

The main ideas of these two meetings have been collected and a report has been made which is now available here.
