From the 6th to the 10th of March, the Wonderground Company will hold an artistic residency in El Canal with its work “MOMENTUM“.
Like life, momentum cannot be completely controlled. When you experience it, there is always a moment when this force takes over you, like a wave in the ocean. Not knowing where it will take you, you can only trust your body and fully embrace the journey it brings. “MOMENTUM” is a journey experienced by three people, erratic walkers, who have bowed their bodies to existence. An existence that, like impulse, never stops, never dies, is a timeless flow between states, bodies, places and forces. To witness this journey is to immerse yourself in images of landscapes and events that feel suspended in time.
The work is a short piece, 25 minutes long per room and performed by three dancers. The aim of the company is to place the body as a subject in a constant dialogue with its environment.
The company was created in 2018 by Roser Tutusaus and Tom Weksler, and it has toured to Spain, Greece, United States, Holland, Belgium, Germany and Portugal.
During their stay at El Canal, they will hold an open session of their piece on Friday the 10th at 7pm. We will give more details soon.
