Implica’ns AGT Contest

El Canal collaborates in the “Implica’ns” contest of the Girona Theater Association (AGT), an award organized since 2021 by the organization and intended to support new creation proposals in the performing arts of the Catalan territory. The contest aims to promote emerging creativity on stage and seeks to discover new talents from the world of Girona and Catalan theater to help them get on stages.

El Canal, following its desire to promote the development of quality scenic projects within the Girona regions, has been collaborating since 2022 with the initiative by offering its equipment for the realization of a technical residence for the winning company in order to develop their project there.

Born in 1993, the Girona Theater Association (AGT) is currently based in the Casa de Cultura, together with the Girona theater school El Galliner. The organization’s commitment has always been to offer quality theater training and a space for professional exchange for the citizens of Girona’s counties. The stability during all these years has allowed the theatrical and teaching activities of the school and the association, as well as the partners and the number of students, to grow in quantity and quality.
