Manuel Rodríguez

Manuel Rodríguez is a dancer, choreographer and visual artist, holding a Master’s degree in “New performative practices” from the University of the Arts of Stockholm. His practice questions the contemporary conditions under which the body appears, treating it as a space of friction where perception, matter and relation intersect. His works erode the structures of language and the devices that organise what is visible, opening up zones of indeterminacy from which to imagine other forms of presence.

Otra cosa que no es una conferencia

Residency March 2026

What does it mean to be human when “the human” overflows its own limits?

This overflow does not point to a dystopian future, but to the very condition of our present: bodies crossed by memories that erupt, by languages that exceed them, by technologies that predict them even before they act.

In OTRA COSA QUE NO ES UNA CONFERENCIA, the format is dismantled and transformed into an untamed space where words dissolve into gesture and consensus fades into its own shadow. In this terrain of transit and tremor, meaning arises between bodies, in collision, in flight, in incompleteness.

The human is not substance but relation: a practice of resistance that burns at the edges of what can be said.
