La Ludwig Band

Residency May 2022 

The Ludwig Band obtained the Artistic Support Program aimed at professional musicians or on the way to professionalization in the demarcation of Girona through which it was able to do a residency in El Canal in May 2022. It is a program in collaboration with the Casa de la Música del Gironès.

The Ludwig Band are defined as the second best group in Espolla. In 2017 they started playing the songs that Quim Carandell, singer and guitarist, had been collecting since he was a teenager. His style moves between folk and traditional songs, sonorous rhythms and heptasyllabs that speak of life. Their songs are about daily topics but with unexpected twists.

With this stay, the aim was to do an Artistic Production Stage to improve and fine-tune their live show, reviewing the order of the repertoire, the movements, the interventions and interactions of its members.
