Kolektiv Lapso Cirk develop projects that stand out for their virtuosity, agility and avant-garde aesthetics.
They bet on scenic risk and the breaking of theatrical dynamics, questioning the performer and valuing the role of the materials, which in addition to being the basic scenographies, also provide the guiding thread of the proposal and become more of a stage partner.
Lapso Cirk is signed by David Diez Mendez and Tomas Vaclavek, two artists specialized in the search for balance, not only on stage but also outside, in their day to day.
QOROQ
Residency June 2024
QOROQ is a continuation of the work that the Kolektiv Lapso Cirk company has been working on for many years.
Once again, in this show there are a lot of wooden beams of different sizes and shapes, materials that are part of the company’s search for raw materials. The wood will now be transformed into powder, destroyed to its smallest size by a wood chipper. The destruction of these natural resources helps the company to create. The stage will be covered with this material and will allow the artists to transport themselves to a completely new world. A world in which to fall from great heights. A world where the ground is much kinder to the inevitable falls of the acrobats and that allows them to once again exceed their limits.
The stage will be covered with granulated wood, as if it were sand. As if we were in the desert. This completely transforms the scene and creates a new environment for the artists. An unexplored world full of opportunities. This wood made of granulated cork, which softens on impact, allows artists to explore the fall from much greater heights with relative safety.
The destruction of these natural resources can help artists create, but will they be able to stop before it’s too late?
