Kamchàtka

Kamchàtka is a collective of artists of different nationalities, born in Barcelona, that has been creating and researching collectively since 2006. They are a European reference in public space creation and contextual writing. Over the years, they have developed immersive, participatory and improvisational works that address migratory processes as an inherent part of the human condition.

They have found their own language and a set of distinctive characters — always wordless, somewhere between the everyday and the surreal — which articulate all their creations. They have presented their work in more than 35 countries, with site-specific projects focused on direct relationships with audiences and their surroundings, and they lead workshops on the relationship between public space and artistic creation. Their work has been recognised with several awards.
