Joina

Joina is an artist who stands out for her original style of composition. A classically trained pianist influenced by artists such as Debussy, James Blake and Rosalía, she shakes up the clichés with her authenticity, combining all her classical background with her pop, electronic and experimental side.
After releasing two albums, having been on TV3 playing in the band of the Zona Franca program and having played with artists such as M.i.a and Beth, she is about to release her third album from the hand of producer Emili Bosch, B1n0.

Entre la mort i el desglaç

Residence february 2025

BETWEEN DEATH AND THICKNESS is a musical and scenic proposal that aims to be a journey into the dreamlike universe of dreams and the night.

Live, JOINA and gatogaso will be playing a display of keyboards, synths, drum machines and voices, inside a hexagonal dome-shaped light installation where live visuals will be projected.

The show simulates the passage through a night. It begins when the sun sets and the songs and projections are linked to each other, going through the emotions that the night offers. The lyrics of the songs speak of mourning and loss, using the metaphor of the night as a liminal, timeless space where to rest and assimilate the emptiness in order to be reborn with the new day. The intention of this proposal is basically experimental and poetic and aims to accompany the viewer through these emotions, through music, visuals and lights.

Inspired by her dreams and her own experience, the artist delves into grief and loss in a dreamlike context. Atmospheric compositions with strong beats, pop melodies and evocative lyrics. Debussian harmonies mixed with James Blake-style atmospheres and the punch in the form of complex beats and rhythms that characterize Joina.
