Hermanas Picohueso

Hermanas Picohueso are Lluki, Diego, Gal·la and all the people who always help them. They are spread throughout the Mediterranean.

They work together because they understand each other and like to share their points of view. They add people to their creation processes because they believe the world is full of minds with brilliant ideas.

His influences are stage, literary, cinematographic, photographic, YouTube, the stories of his grandmothers and his own experiences.

They work on other projects because they are hyperactive and scattered. This means that they never get tired of their meetings and arrive with their heads full of ideas they want to share. They like risk and never put limits on their possibilities. They aim high and don’t always get there.

They are lovers of technology, they try and incorporate everything that can help them to experiment with new ways of explaining things, without any previous filter.

Other characteristics that identify them:
1. They suffer from a collective and individual Diogenes syndrome that allows them to always count on all kinds of materials and artefacts that they also reuse. They think that Marie Kondo doesn’t do theater.
2. His brain is totally nocturnal. 9 am for them is early morning.
3. They are modern and will never admit it.

NO Project

Residency September 2024

NO’ is a project that talks about rebellion, creativity and collectivity. According to Albert Camus, rebellion is “the certainty of an overwhelming destiny, minus the resignation that should accompany it.” In other words, rebellion is that lucid ‘NO’ emitted by human beings aware of their condition.

This project was born from the need of a granddaughter to capture her grandmother before it is too late. On the way to the impossible capture of a person, there is the discovery of a rebellious woman, who having lived through two wars, and without having any inclination or interest in politics, has developed a life full of these lucid ‘NO ‘ in which the rebellions begin.

With ‘NO’ we propose an interactive installation where the attendees build, through the body, an active and conscious collectivity.

‘NO’ tells us about rebellion, creativity and collectivity against the background of an investigation into the speech of the philosopher Albert Camus.
