Cia Totapedra

Cia Totapedra is a contemporary circus company founded by Andreu Casadellà and Júlia Clarà. In 2025, they decided to create this company to further develop the show Pifia, with Júlia as co-creator and director and Andreu as co-creator and performer.

The name Totapedra comes from the saying “Tota pedra fa paret” (Every stone builds a wall), emphasizing the idea that every little thing, no matter how small, contributes.

Andreu Casadellà i Oller (Anglès, 1994)

A circus artist specializing in Washington trapeze and clowning. Passionate about integrating high-level technique into a playful scenic experience, he works with absurdity and self-mockery as tools to establish a direct connection with the audience.

In 2020, alongside Daniel Esteban, he founded Companyia Seon and premiered the show Infinit. At the same time, he collaborated with contemporary circus tent companies such as Akoreacro and Plume de Cheval.

During his training, he studied at Escuela de Circo Carampa in Madrid and at École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Brussels. He has also received clown technique lessons from Michel Dellaire and various instructors such as Fanny Giraut, Christophe Thellier, and Élise Ouvrier.

Júlia Clarà

Graduated from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona in physical theatre. During her studies, she completed an Erasmus program at the Arts Academy Circus School in Turku (Finland). She continued to specialize in circus disciplines such as acrobatic lifts, Chinese pole, and teeterboard at the Rogelio Rivel Circus Arts School.

As an artist, she participated in the National Circus Production of Catalonia (Estat d’Emergència), worked with Kolektivo (La punta de mi nariz), and created the NO CAL acrobatic balance act alongside Àfrica (Amer i Àfrica).

Additionally, she has taken on other roles, such as external artistic advisor for Infinit by Cia. Seon and stage manager for Adéu by IVC.

She is currently involved in a new creation with Cia. Fèmut and another project with Projecte K.

Pífia

Residence August 2025

PÍFIA is a clown and Washington trapeze show.

In a restricted and dangerous space, a caretaker ensures that no one enters or touches anything. Even he is forbidden from stepping inside.

Ropes, pulleys, over 130 kg of gas cylinders, a Washington trapeze, a 7.20-meter-high structure, and the art of the accident (slapstick falls) make him stumble under the weight of his own body, falling into the machinery.

This is where his balancing act begins, navigating a system that teeters between stability and collapse, struggling to correct every pífía (blunder). His determination to restore order is as great as his clumsiness.

Luckily, he can rely on the skill and courage of the audience!

We often try to hide the absurdity of the present, but this show highlights those little moments of foolishness that we have all experienced—some more often than others. And in the end, that’s what makes us human.
