Compañía AzkonaToloza

Located halfway between the Mediterranean Sea, the Pyrenees and the Atacama Desert (Chile), Laida Azkona Goñi and Toloza Toloza-Fernández are an artistic duo dedicated to creating live arts projects.

Interested in the infinite possibilities of poetry and visual anthropology, lofi video creation, performance and movement, their latest works focus on re-reading official history and on documentary creation conceived for the stage. They understand “stage” as spanning from the auditorium of an opera house to the vastness of a high-plateau salt flat.

Our galactic shelter

Residency February 2026

After months on the road —across deserts, forests and valleys— dozens of people of all ages gather in a clearing at the top of the mountain.
What has brought them here? To dance and re-enact the ancestral ritual of Laniakea, just as their grandmothers and their grandmothers’ grandmothers have done, for as long as the rocks of these mountains can remember.

Before that, however, they must raise the shelter that will host them during the nights of watching and waiting.
Will they know how to decipher their maps to reach their destination? Will they manage to build the shelter that is meant to protect them? And, above all, will they discover how to join their bodies to that of the stars so they can dance by their side?
