At El Canal, she presents Cavitat f., an immersive stage piece currently in creation that explores the mobility of pain. The proposal is conceived as a form of training: a body put into practice in order to activate a field of resonance and shared affect, where cavities —physical, emotional and symbolic— can emerge and be heard. The project investigates how pain moves from one body to another, how it inhabits space and objects, and how it questions ideas of property, inheritance and identity.

The project stems from an autobiographical experience and has also been defined as a work of autofiction nourished by dance, performance and visual arts. In some presentations of the process, the artist has framed the project as an investigation into embodied memories and the mother-child relationship, opening up a space where the body becomes a site of transmission, friction and permanence.

During the residency at El Canal, Alba Ramió undertakes the project’s first technical residency. Alongside the dramaturgical and artistic creation work, this period focuses on dialogue with light, on deepening the technical conception of the sound space, and on exploring the relationship with the physical space, the stage and the 360º audience layout. The piece is currently in the creation process.
