Accidental company
Accidental Company was founded in 2007 in Montpellier out of the encounter between a group of artists and cultural managers from different countries. Since the beginning, it has moved between circus, physical theatre, clown, bouffon, mask work and puppetry, devoting a central part of its activity to creation laboratories where different aesthetics are brought together to forge its own language. It is drawn to tragicomedy, laden with emotions and truths, and works with long creation periods that allow for research, improvisation and writing directly on stage.
In parallel, the company offers training for both professionals and amateurs, and its team has specialised in organising, producing and programming events for various institutions, as well as in audience development and engagement programmes.
It advocates for a social and popular theatre in which laughter becomes a pathway for affection, reflection and transformation.
Némésis
Residency February and April 2026
NÉMÉSIS is a tragicomic, political thriller of circus, theatre and puppetry in which three performers reconstruct the memory of a friend who died in 2001 under strange circumstances on the Catalan coast. What begins as a tribute soon turns into a collective investigation into failure, contradiction and our relationship with power, combining physical vertigo and emotion so that friendship emerges as an indispensable form of resistance.
NÉMÉSIS explores shared memory, the construction of narrative and identity, focusing on bonds of friendship within a context marked by social movements and processes of rural and urban transformation. The piece is presented in its final form as a fragile, open work, inhabited by living characters with whom it is possible to engage in conversation.
During the residency at El Canal (Salt), the company approaches the pre-premiere phase with exchange as its central axis: a laboratory for professionals, a post-show talk and a shared presentation with the audience —focusing on content and autofiction— in order to keep NÉMÉSIS as a living, never fully closed work.

We continue working towards a more responsible, locally rooted and collaborative contemporary circus.
EKO Pirineus de Circ is a European cross-border cooperation project whose aim is to develop the capacities and skills of cross-border circus stakeholders in order to carry out the ecological transition by combining training, creation and experimentation.
The project brings together 14 partners from across the France–Spain cross-border area: La Grainerie (project lead), APCC / La Central del Circ, Ayuntamiento de Bilbao, Ayuntamiento de Huesca, Consorci Transversal, Diputación Foral de Álava, Diputación de Huesca, El Canal / Ayuntamiento de Salt, Ésacte Lido’Pro, Gobierno de Aragón, Malandain Ballet Biarritz, Occitània a Scène, Université Tolosa Jean Jaurès and Ville d’Hendaye.
EKO has a budget of €1,681,820 co-financed at 65% by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A España–Francia–Andorra (POCTEFA 2021–2027) programme.
The aim of POCTEFA is to strengthen the economic and social integration of the Spain–France–Andorra cross-border area.
