From June 1 to 4, Olot, Mieres, Porqueres, Banyoles, Girona, Celrà, Lloret de Mar, La Jonquera and Figueres are the municipalities that will host the zero edition of the new festival promoted by different artistic agents and owned cultural facilities public of the Girona counties. The counties of Girona have joined together to create a joint and unique program to bring current contemporary creation to everyone. The festival will have a total of eleven artistic proposals that will occupy the spaces of Olot Cultura, Espai Nyamnyam, the Civic Center of Porqueres, of Culture Banyoles, of the Municipal Theater of Girona, of Celrà Fàbrica d’Arts, of the Theater from Lloret de Mar, from La Jonquera Cultura and from Figueres a Escena.
The Canal supports the festival and participates in co-producing one of the pieces in the program: Orelles de Marga Socias & Els Mals Endreços, which will perform at L’animal a l’esquena in Celrà. The festival also has the support of various agents in the territory such as El Bòlit, Center for Contemporary Art of Girona, El Canal, Center for the creation of performing arts and L’animal a l’esquena, in addition to the support of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Provincial Council of Girona and the Regional Council of Alt Empordà.
The festival program includes indoor and street pieces, a traveling creation, a conference, a day and a session with digital artists, inviting the public to discover and be carried away by the various proposals. In the program, we find artists who took up residence in El Canal, such as Monte Isla or the Atzucac Company.
With the desire to offer the possibility to enjoy as many artistic proposals as possible, the festival puts on sale a pass so that anyone can live the completely immersive experience at a price of €50 (limited passes). The season ticket includes tickets for the 6 paid shows, several trips by bus that are marked on the grid, lunch (community paella at l’Animal in the back of Celrà) and a merchandise pack.
The festival also promotes travel by public transport (whenever possible) and accommodation in the territory.
