Workshop ‘Stupefaction Practices’ with Sociedad Doctor Alonso

The beginning of Hospital de campo comes from a feeling: the feeling, private and shared at the same time, that we are all sick. When we wonder about the nature of the diseases that we carry, and that appear both in our bodies and in our psyches, a ground or a kind of common feature is drawn. We could define it as the trace of the abandonment of the subjective dimension of our bodily existence.

In this laboratory we will work around the key dramaturgical axes of the process, the idea of what is bad, the idea of splitting and the relationship between the patient and the healer. In Hospital de campo we will practice with puppets as mediators in this dialogue between the patient and the active principle that heals him. A device in which an “object” heals a “subject”. Using surprise to fool the disease. Based on these premises we will practice the game of unfolding through the marionette generating new performances to treat our illnesses.

An activity open to anyone interested in the performative act and scenic languages and for all those related and with interests in the world of healing and care. No previous experience is necessary. Open to all ages.
