Talk “Searching for the impossible. Chivalric epic and the internet.” by Los Detectives and Higo Mental

In this conference and subsequent round table with the participation of the Higo Mental collective, the influence of Arthurian novels in medieval and contemporary contexts will be discussed through videos and Internet content, as well as the relationship between image, courtly love and the search for the Grail, opening new perspectives to reflect on this universe.

– Higo Mental (Ricardo Pérez-Hita Carrasco and Marta Sesé Fuentes) is a feminist interpretation project of audiovisual material usurped from the Internet, active since 2014. A video dialogue between two people in which the alternation of materials creates a critical narrative that questions the hegemonic system of representation. It moves away from the conference format and seeks to be, at the same time, a space for reflection and entertainment where audiovisual productions can be put on the table to be reactivated and debated among all.
