Preview of ‘MOMENTUM’

The Wonderground Company presents the preview of their new work “MOMENTUM” on Friday March 10th. The company has done an artistic residency in El Canal from March 6 to 10 to work on this piece.

Like life, momentum cannot be completely controlled. When you experience it, there is always a moment when this force takes over you, like a wave in the ocean. Not knowing where it will take you, you can only trust your body and fully embrace the journey it brings. “MOMENTUM” is a journey experienced by three people, erratic walkers, who have bowed their bodies to existence. An existence that, like impulse, never stops, never dies, is a timeless flow between states, bodies, places and forces. To witness this journey is to immerse yourself in images of landscapes and events that feel suspended in time.

The work is a short piece, 25 minutes long per room and performed by three dancers. The aim of the company is to place the body as a subject in a constant dialogue with its environment.
