Open rehearsal of ‘Double Infinite. The Bluebird Call’ by Mal Pelo

Mal Pelo begins his technical residency at El Canal de Salt, opening the doors to us next June 1 with an open rehearsal of his new piece DOUBLE INFINITE – The Bluebird Call. It is an open space where the company will show us materials that are still being worked on and that are the fruits of the creation process.

With a background of thirty-five years of experience that has consolidated them as one of the benchmarks of dance in our country, Pep Ramis and María Muñoz meet again and exceptionally on stage as a duet. DOUBLE INFINITE – The Bluebird Call is the new creation that will premiere next July 1 as part of the Barcelona Greek Festival at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.

DOUBLE INFINITE – The Bluebird Call contemplates the need to imagine and pursue impossible realities, to build a fiction that reveals the importance of inventing the future, of projecting it beyond what is predictable.

The search for alternatives to the reality that surrounds us is born from the urgency to dissolve what we perceive as real, and to give ourselves the possibility to rebel against what seems immovable, against the structures that build us as to individuals and as a society. The body is the tool with which to write and design fictions that question us, that dislodge us. The body and movement contain internal codes that move away from structured and sequential ideas. We are talking about codes that are infinitely more naked, vertiginous and revealing of the drives of our habitat, of our world.
