Last year, the Centre d’Arts Escèniques – El Canal closed with outstanding figures:

📌 38 open rehearsals
📌 40 training activities
📌 35 performances with festivals and local entities
📌 48 resident companies
📌 14 co-productions launched

In total, this amounted to 459 days of stage work, consolidating El Canal as a creative and social driving force in the region.

👥 The Mayor of Salt, Jordi Viñas, highlights “the cultural impact that ensures access to culture for everyone,” while El Canal’s director, Xavier Díaz, celebrates how the venue has become a reference point for the growth of Catalonia’s creative ecosystem.

🔮 A promising future
2025 has already kicked off with strength: the first quarter will feature 11 open rehearsals, a dozen workshops and talks, the Girona Circus Gala 2025, and innovative activities such as voice, movement, and public space creation workshops.

🌍 The Deputy Mayor for Culture, Toni Vidal, emphasizes the growing national recognition of El Canal and its first steps towards internationalization, thanks to institutional support.
